Windows · ChengApp Desktop

Build controllable AI agents with visual workflows

ChengOS orchestrates and executes workflows and agents. ChengApp provides a desktop workspace for Windows, with same-network Android collaboration.

Core Capabilities

From workflow orchestration to desktop collaboration

ChengOS orchestrates and executes. ChengApp connects your local workspace and same-network devices. Four capabilities with clear boundaries.

ChengOS · Orchestration & execution

Multi-agent workflows & decision routing

Connect agents, tools and data flows on a visual canvas. Orchestrate multi-agent collaboration and route tasks through configurable decision branches. Multi-agent meetings support turn-taking, discussion and voting.

Decision providers · ai/decision_branch

Supports Jev, with Laya available through configuration. Jev calls an external API by default. Laya is an operator-managed local service, disabled by default and explicitly enabled by the operator.

Jev / Laya are decision-routing providers, not general-purpose chat models. Meetings do not require their participation.

ChengApp · Client-local tools

Local workspace & credential isolation

Use client-local workspace tools in ChengApp to view and edit documents and spreadsheets, and let agents read or modify workspace content. Tools use credential handles; raw API keys stay out of the model context.

Local tools, not a claim of offline inference

Workspace path checks cover Windows junctions, alternate data streams and reserved device names. Model and external-service calls follow their own configuration.

This does not promise zero document uploads or fully offline operation. The ChengOS engine connects to configured Ollama / vLLM services; ChengApp does not bundle local inference.

ChengApp · Windows + Android

Phone & Windows on the same network

Pair an Android phone by QR code and connect directly to a Windows device on the same network, extending messaging, meetings and agent collaboration to your phone.

QR pairing → Direct LAN connection → Collaboration

The phone participates as a client and requires a running ChengOS backend. Messaging, meetings and agent collaboration are the capabilities presented here.

Direct connections after QR pairing require the same network. Cross-network ChengID communication is a separate connection mode.

ChengOS · Backend task execution

Codex / Claude Code task delegation

Delegate bounded coding tasks to Codex or Claude Code through tools/coding_agent_task, making coding tasks part of your workflow.

Execution host · ChengOS backend

Tasks run on the ChengOS backend host, not directly on the Windows client through ChengApp. Claude Code is disabled by default and must be configured and enabled by the operator.

Claude Code uses your own credentials: an Anthropic API key or your own subscription login, never a shared account.
